Shri Sanwarmal Sharma

After paying homage and offering prayers at the feet of Shri Shri Narharinathji Maharaj, I shall attempt to write a few lines here.

Whatever Shri Narharinathji did for the progress and modernization of the Ashram was praiseworthy. I was fortunate enough to participate in the Grand Festival in the year 2002. This time once again we are going to celebrate the festival of Shri Nathji Maharaj and this is a matter of good fortune for me and all devotees. I pray that with his blessings I, along with my family get the opportunity to participate in the festivities.

From my childhood I have revered and worshipped Shri Nathji Maharaj. My grandmother, the late Shrimati Ginni Devi, served in the ashram at the time of Shri Shri 1008 Shri Shambhunathji Maharaj and she would narrate and describe to our family members the virtues and the greatness of Nathji Maharaj.

My in-laws live in Fatehpur Shekhavati. My father-in-law, the late Shri Jhabarmalji Chotia Masterji had an unshakeable faith and belief in Shri Nathji Maharaj. At that time I had the good fortune to visit Shri Amritnath Ashram. During my stay at Fatehpur, I, along with my family would go to see Shri Nathji Maharaj. Shri Shri 1008 ‘Kripasindhu’ (sea of mercy) Shri Hanumannathji Maharaj developed great affection for us. I was granted the opportunity to be in close proximity with 108 Shri Narharinathji Maharaj and received a lot of love from him when he visited Mumbai after he succeeded to the ‘Gaddi” (seat of honour). From then till today Shri Narhariji Maharaj has showered his blessings and affection on me and my entire family and I pray to him to keep us in his grace even in the future. I got the chance to go on several pilgrimages in his exalted company and to meet many saints. While living a life of worldliness and materialism I have yet experienced the greatness and wondrous miracles of Shri Nathji Maharaj that I cannot describe in words. His blessings and endless love are with me and my family both in happy times and sad. With his grace and inspiration we are able to overcome many adverse situations. On joyous occasions of our family of little or great importance Maharaj honours us with his presence and thus we experience his affection for us. Whatever we are today, it is due to his grace and thus do we continue to live.

A Teacher is like a potter, the pupil is the pot he shapes
The teacher like the potter labours, smoothes and removes all the flaws,
He touches gently inside but seems to strike hard externally.
The teacher is like an oarsman and the world is the ocean.
It is the teacher that rows the pupil across.
Very mercifully the teacher grants the four great fruits of life to the pupil.
The greatness of the true teacher is vast indeed!
There are few who can realize and appreciate!
It is the teacher who drives away all fear and sorrow of sin from the mind of the pupil!
